How long have you been working at Star? What’s your favorite part of the job?
I’ve been at Star for over four years. My favorite part of my job is to always learn something new.
Who inspires you?
What is something people may not know about you? Do you have a secret talent?
Something people may not know about me is that I’ve very big into winter sports! I like to ski and snowboard.
What is your favorite TV show? Who’s your favorite character and why?
My favorite TV show is Smokey and the Bandit. Jerry Reed is the truck driver in the show and I really like who he is as a person. In the show, they call him Snowman. My younger brothers actually call me snowman since I haul a lot of the grain for the farm.
Do you have a favorite movie line/quote?
My favorite movie line is from Forest Gump, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You just never know what you will get.”
What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I farm with my family. I also like to boat on the Ohio River and spend time at off-road parts riding in the woods.
How are you ensuring work safety?
I ensure work safety by having good communication with mechanics and always talking with them and coming up with the best way to do something.
What are three words you would use to describe Star?
Honest, reliable and hustle.
What is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
My favorite place I’ve traveled to is Colorado. I really like the country and the people are so much nicer than in the city! The stealth houses are the real deal–and the air is so much cleaner!
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
What music genre do you like to listen to?
My favorite music is rock.
How do you define success?
I define success as a positive outcome or an accomplishment with positive gain.
If given a chance, who would you want to be for a day?
I would be Henry Ford. I’m a die-hard Ford guy, but I feel like there would be a lot of knowledge to be gained.
Dog or cat person?
No pets, but I do have livestock.
My favorite tradition is going to Gatlinburg, TN for Thanksgiving after harvest. My family has been doing this most of my life.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
If I could learn to do anything, it would probably be to build machine parts from raw material so that you could make your own parts if needed.
